I'll try to make this post as specific as possible.
We will be playing one game of baseball in Chatham over the Memorial Day weekend. The game is for players 45 years of age and older. We have players from our 45+ and 55+ divisions signed up for the game. The game will be a nine-inning affair. That way everyone should get plenty of ABs as well as time in the field.
We are limited to 24 players. We have guys from the Chatham Brewers and guys from other teams ready to play. We will be mixing and matching players to achieve two balanced teams.
There will be umpires.
Game time will be 10:00 AM.
After the game we will head down to the Chatham Brewery for great beer and picnic food.
The cost of $15.00/player covers your game expenses, the food and two beers at the brewery plus a chance to win a baseball autographed by the game's MVP.
IMPORTANT: We are considering and, at this point leaning towards, moving the game to Sunday. The majority of guys already signed up to play prefer a Sunday game. I am hoping that a Sunday game also works for some of you who saw my original post but were not available to play on Saturday.
