Gentlemen - as you may be aware, the landscape of the 55-Division has undergone some major changes this off season. The draft has been eliminated creating an open market, that has impacted teams and players. To that end, the 55-Division is in the process of expansion with two new, viable teams for the 2018 Baseball Season.
> Don Ball will be managing the Dodgers and Jimmie Dalton will be managing the other (Name to be determined by a team vote). If you are looking to make a change, new to the league, or graduating from 45s to 55's, Both teams have roster spots available. You may contact Don at: dballjr@nycap.rr.com and /or Jim at jamesbdalton@yahoo.com and (518) 221-9499, to discuss things.
> We are looking to have both teams solidified and rosters submitted by March 15th, so time is of the essence!
> There is also the opportunity for additional playing time this season for those players 45+, in a newly proposed Capital Division . It is intended to create additional opportunity for players in our existing 55+ and 45+ age divisions and for players not able to join these divisions as well as those who might find their way back to us . The division will strive for equal playing time , at bats , and even competition. Game will be structured as 7-inning games, and use of umpires and some modified MSBL rules. for more information and joining this new venture contact: Don Ball the new Capital Division commissioner, dballjr@nycap.rr.com.
