In the completion of Monday nights suspended game the Twins outscored the Giants 3-0 tonight. However, the Giants came in with a 9-5 lead and went home a 9-8 winner when the game was finally completed . The Twins had the tying run on 3rd when the final Twins batter took a very tough 3-2 pitch called third strike to end the game.

I might note that it took 3 nights to get this game done. Both teams showed up last Friday at C Diamond but found out the city had shut it down for the rest of the season. Then we went to B Diamond which was unlocked but were told that no union worker was available to remove the tarps on the mound and plate and no one else could remove those tarps. So the game gets moved to Monday, we get 5 innings played and are stopped by darkness on A Diamond where the lights evidently do not work. Everybody who could make it returned for the final 2 innings last night at Watervliet High School field with different umpires and we finally got it done. For the love of the game.
