Bob Noto's line drive single with the bases loaded delivered the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh as the Damn Yankees edged the Peppers 9-8 Friday night in a classic dual at Satellite Field. It was a back-and-forth game that saw the Yankees fall behind 3-0 to Peppers starter Ron Massaroni, fue...

So, we got off to a slow start this season. But we're rolling now. (Or at least thumping along on three good wheels and a workable spare.) In what began and ended as tense contest, the Peppers won their second game in the past three (ignore that 15-1 whupping by the Whiz in between), with a 12-8 win over the...

C-Diamond has cancelled the 55 game between the Yankees and Whiz for tonight 7/18 . Lots a luck trying to get these in. We need another week or so added on.

I was looking at our league rules and there appears to be a change to the mercy rule in the 55 division. As per rule 7-4 the mercy rule was changed from 10 runs to 12 runs effective 7/11/2017. I am not sure if all the managers are aware of this. If someone could verify this it would be good to know for the rest of...

The good news is: Tonight's ball game between the Peppers and the Marlins has been moved to Watervliet High School. The bad news: We are about 15 minutes from getting swamped by another rain storm!

The 55 Yankees beat the Twins last night 14-8 at New Scotland. Both teams hit well with the Yanks collecting 13 hits and the Twins 13 . However, the deciding factor was 6 very poorly timed errors by the Twins giving the Yankees 12 unearned runs while 7 of the 8 Twins runs were earned. No lie. The Twins were u...

I'd like to thank Jim Bonaparte, Rob Currier, the players and the umpires for everything they did today to get this game in. Upon arrival at C Diamond at 8:45 AM, I found the gate locked and a large pool of standing water at third base. B diamond was even worse. Had to initially call the umpires to cancel th...

If the Peppers face the Whiz again this year, we'll begin by tying their shoelaces. The Whiz scored early fast, posting 7 runs in the first inning on their way to a 15-1 mercy-ruled victory at Watervliet High on Friday night. Jim Preller pitched well for the Whiz, allowing 4 hits over 4 innings, while st...

The Marlins were boosted by a cameo appearance by Randy Craft, on short visit from his home down in God's waiting room. He didn't wait long to make an impact. In bottom of the 1st with the Americans up 1-0, Randy plated two Marlins with booming 2-RBI double. It would have been a 3-run homer if the whole fen...

Yankees lose 4-2 at B diamond on a 2 run Hr call off a tree branch hanging over the field. during the ground rules it was stated if the ball hits the branch in the air would be a HR. BUt in retrospect 1 the ball was going to go foul, 2 wasn't going to get over the fence anyways, so I think we could revisit the rulin...
