Cubs beat Rays 10-4.
(Preview)
On a showery night at Schenectady Babe Ruth, the Rays and Cubs were able to get in just enough baseball to avoid a rain out. The night was gray, and it was showering almost constantly, but the field was so dry to start, we were able to get in 4-1/2 innings. Chris Dunn went 5 innings and picked up the win for th...

sattilite field
(Preview)
in light of recent events at the sat. field ,and seeing as i despise it when grown men whine,I would like to make an offer to all my baseball brothers. I am willing to make a donation of 10 yards of screened topsoil for the start of the outfield recovery project which this field so desperately needs. if the...

Let's Try That BP Thing Again
(Preview)
Like I mentioned in my previous post, the fields at Sand Creek Middle School were empty each of the last two nights. The field closest to the school has an L screen in place for safer BP. So I am going to invite everyone to join me on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 for BP etc. We'll start this coming Tuesday and let...

Wednesday BP Anyone?
(Preview)
I am organizing a BP for tonight at Sand Creek Middle School starting at 6:00 PM. I ran by the fields at the school last night and they were empty. I am hoping that there are 4 or 5 other guys out there who would like to get some extra swings/field work in. If nobody else shows up, I'll go running at The Crossin...

45 Royals over Braves
(Preview)
Knowing what a classy bunch of players and men the Royals are, they don't jump on this forum to tell anyone about the whuppin they put on the Braves over the weekend. So I will.....now I don't claim to be anything special on the mound, but that team can flat out smack the ball around. They tagged me for 5 or 6...

The Giants Wake up: Giants 12 - Yankees 9
(Preview)
So the Giants gathered as a team for the first time in three weeks - crusty, rusty and perhaps still carrying a heavy load since the passing of Mark Dabneys son, Christian. Mark is out for awhile as he tends to personal needs at this time. Were hoping to get him out for a big plate of meatballs soon. The firs...

Somehow both Swift Road and the Satellite Field escaped the torrential downpours all day long and all of the 45 games were played ...... i live 10 miles away and we had a couple of serious storms that missed voorheesville. Dodgers opened the scoring with 5 in the top of the 1st with singles by Hicks, Sohl...

Cubs outscore Yanks 12-10.
(Preview)
In the 8:15 game at Bob Moore last night, the Cubs got 12 runs on 11 hits, while the Yanks put up 10 runs on 9 hits. The game was just a 3-1 ball game (Cubs leading) through 3 complete innings, but both teams would hang big numbers on the board in the 4th. The Yanks would take the lead 7-3 by scoring 6 times in the...

Free-agents 18 and over ...
(Preview)
I just entered Chris LeBlanc of Waterford to the list. There are now 16 players listed for the 18+ Division. If any of them have been picked up, please advise so I can remove them from the list. If not, might these guys be brought together to create a team for next season? Jim Konstantakis CDMSBL Board

Men it was a great day for baseball and I enjoyed being on the field with all of you. Now, some may think this is an oxymoron, but I lost my smart phone (i-phone). The last call I made was to Ralph to find out where in the wilderness he was. I am wondering if it inadvertently got placed in anyone of your equipme...

Umpire gets it right.
(Preview)
Ok, So I was all excited to be able to join Jim Bonaparte for his umping debut in the 55's. I had a high school game which ran late so I missed most of the game, but that certainly didnt mean that I missed all the action. Jim was doing great but I was glad I was able to help because what a game it turned out to be. He...
