I received an email last night from one of the 35+ teams stating they probably will not participate in the tournament. Unfortunately, I already created a schedule and removing this team will completely change the 35 division format. If any local players want to organize and put together a team to rep...

Not sure where to begin, so let me say this was the most fun I've had around CDMSBL since I joined it in 1999. Though I had to sacrifice my own playing time, it was well worth it. I'm not sure how many managers really want EVERY one of their players to return the next season, but I hope every one of my guys retu...

Game one of the 47+ semifinals was played last night at "A" Diamond with the Yankees winning a tight one and taking a 1-0 lead in the best of three series. Hornets went up 1-0 in the third but the Yankees fought back for two in the bottom half. Hornets tied it at 2 in the fifth but the Yankees score...

Anybody seen, heard, or listened to testimony from Todd Calhoun this summer? I think he entered witness protection since you see Sammy the Bull more than him. Egg noodles and ketcup, bleh!

Any news on what is happening in this matchup????

Hey Kevin, Is there some reason that we are not starting at 6:00 or 6:15 for the games at Cook Park?! I know it is not because their lights are so good. Again we have played the entire season under daylight conditions, and we are deciding our champion under poorly lit night conditions. Why? I am pretty...

This game had everything: Great plays, errors, timely hitting, and stage, theater and drama. And when the final curtain went down, same ol', same ol'. You somehow have to find a way to go through the Marlins to win this damn title. We had our chances. After Dan Maguire's key 2-out single plated Jimm...

When will the 47+ playoff schedule be posted?

Artie7 · Artie7

I want to thank everyone who sent in their much appreciated comments and much encouragement as well as those who I have met at the fields. You guys make it awfully hard to walk away. Unless someone can donate some legs or a new wonder drug I'd reconsider. Again, much thanks. Artie G.

I am interested in purchasing a dozen CDMSBL baseballs....I ran out. How come we have to buy balls if we run out???? Just wondering because in the past we were given more when needed.

Black Sox advance to the semifinals. We await the schedule. Congrats to the Dodgers for a real nice year. At full strength, that team can beat anyone. And congrats to the Black Sox for a great season to date in their first year. jimk hornets

Anyone have information on the 47+ playoffs yesterday? Hornets beat the Veterans 15-3.

Now that my team has been eliminated from the playoffs I guess this is as good a time to announce after 18 years it's time to hang em' up. As one of two remaining members of the original 30 + Senior Mens Baseball league (Dennis Scimeca being the other) we started back in 1989 with just four teams, Grecos, Pe...
