mike micheli president of san diego msbl writes to say that the us treasury dept. just canceled the team's license to travel to cuba. reason? "political changes" - whatever that means. (probably somebody in washington deciding to teach fidel a lesson.)
so he and his group (baseball action tours) are sponsoring a replacement tour in may to costa rica.

i don't know how many, or if any, guys from here can go but i would imagine that if some do you'll be in for a beautiful trip. pictures i've seen of country are gorgeous. also, the idea of playing ball in other countries in future years is an intriguing one - so if you're interested, you might stay in touch with mike.

and despite the snow, spring starts tomorrow. accuweather is predicting 61 degrees for friday.
