I was just made aware that Danny LedDuke who played with us quite a few years ago, just passed away as the result of a heart attack while living in Florida. I was told that the obituary will be posted Tuesdy and that the wake will be Thursday. As I remember, Danny was drafted by the Yankees and made it to the bigs for a short while and then had arm problems. He was quite a character.
Damn it seems we are way too freakin' young for this. I had the privilege of playing against Dan in the Twilight League years ago. Yes, a character, in a very good way. Great guy, great competitor. JimK
Shame to see one of the baseball family leave us....I can remember Danny when he played on the old 90's team the White Sox with tommy maney, Mal Mark Platel timmy maney, etc and i can still see him cracking open a Coors amongst other things and goingout and playing in a stupor like the rest of us and palying at a high level no pun intended..Danny was a ballplayer and had a shot that so many of us can only dream of...He did well..He was right there...he is gone but he will not be forgotten....Had his troubles but hey between the lines it meant nothing.....Hey guys best of luck this year in league and tourney play.... tpoleto50
