I justed wanted to take this opportunity to say good luck and thanks to the 28+ Cubbies. Like I've said many times, you guys are a class act. Jimmy McQuade, Mash, Tommy Maney, Timmy Maney, Girard, Jonny Martin, K. Jacques, etc. As a rival, the Nationals want to beat you and win the division, knowing full well that we have to play our best to beat you. As far as the Nationals go, we've learned from you on how to play the game right and I hate to see you guys go...well kind of. I offer an invitation to any Cubby that still wants to play in the 28's next year!
Hey Fitzy, thanks for the kind words. It will be a fun year regardless of the outcome. It sounds like our favorite mental patient (I mean therapist) had a fine start to his Nats season. You picked up a real difference maker to your pitching staff. Congrats on a great first game win!
Joe, looking forward to seeing you guys out on the field and around the coolers this year. We have always enjoyed playing against the Marlins/Nationals.....always a tough team with a great bunch of guys... from back in the day when Johnny Reel was running the show and now with the team that you have put together....Good Luck this year...should be interesting..looks like every team is dangerous this year!
