On a beautiful night at the ball park, the Hornets prevailed over an undermanned (nine players) Dodgers team. Tony Nardacci led the Hornets offense with two 2Bs and a 3B. Jack Perry crushed a 2-run HR. The Bums never quit, leaving two men on in the last inning. Konstantakis got the win.
On a couple of personal notes, it was great to see the ageless Doug Zmyewski still whacking the ball like a 20-year-old in spite of legs that are of slightly older vintage. Ed Rogers is one of the true gentlemen in this league and his team reflects that character. He has brought the Dodgers a long way since their league entry. I'm certain they will go farther.
