Silver Marlins 24 Shasky's 0

The Shasky's had the uneviable task of taking on the Silvers at New Scotland Friday night as they rebounded from a disappointing defeat the previous week. Dr. Jim Ansel took the ball and allowed just one base runner to reach base on an error in five complete innings. He also had a perfect night at the plate with four hits. After 5 innings with the score 19-0, the Shasky elected to play one more inning. With the lopsided score, Jim decided to give way to Mike Girard on the mound. The suspense of the no hitter did not last long, as the first Shasky hitter delivered a sharp single between short and third on the first pitch of the inning. The Shaky's picked up one more single in the inning, but were unable to push accross a run.
