The Highlanders sweated out (literally and figuratively) a 14 to 11 win over a very persistent Peppers team. Even though down early in the game they kept chipping away. Wish them best of luck for the remainder of the season and hope that all their injured players come back healthy very soon.
I just wanted to give a "thank-you" to Ed Obertubessing for finally giving me my shot with the Peppers. I had a great time (even though we lost) and I look forward to playing in more games for the Peppers.
Hats off to the 38+ division for using wood bats (THE WAY THE GAME WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED). And hats off to the Highlanders for finishing us off when it looked like a comeback was imminent.
