It was a perfect day for baseball and the game wasn't lacking, either. The lead changed hands several times until the Hornets settled it with three two-out runs in the bottom of the 6th, starting with Dave Madden's HUGE two-strike hit followed by a walk to Remington and a clutch two-run ground-rule double by Nardacci. Jim Konstantakis went the distance for the Hornets, keeping batters off balance with a variety of speeds and locations. Pete Westphal also pitched a complete game for the Marlins. Tom Maney was 3-for-3 for the Fish while Tony Nardacci and Billy Smith picked up two hits each for the Vespa crabro.
