On a muggy, humid, hot day at New Scotland, the 4-9 Blue Thunder came out to play ball against the 3-9 Dodgers in their final meeting of the regular season. Blue Thunder was victorious in their first outing 6-5 (very close game indeed) and the Dodgers sure were seeking to even the series. From the first pitch of the game to the last, it was a masterfully played game. Great pitching between Blue Thunder's Rich Garbarino and the Dodgers Mr. Conlin. Garbarino scattered 6 hits over 7 innings, walked no one, struck out 8 and the only run given up was unearned. Timely hitting by Blue Thunder's Pete LaFlamme, Kevin McDonald and Bob Weitz sealed the victory. Matt Kelly, LaFlamme and Garbarino had two hits for Blue Thunder. The Dodgers hitting attack was lead by Mr. Reardon had two hits before needing to leave with an injury. Thanks to Ed Rogers and his team of classy, professional players who yet again continue to define why "we do it for the love of the game". This divsion continues to promote great comradery, great sportmanship and great baseball. Next game for 5-9 Blue Thunder (8/05 versus the 8-5 Marlins) and for the Dodgers (8/05 versus the 10-3 Yankees). Sublitted by Bob Lounsbury, General Manager of Blue Thunder
