The Marlins scored 6 in the bottom of the first inning. With Jim Ansel making a "tune up for the playoffs" start, you would think that the game was over, right?! Not! The Peppers scrapped for four runs in the next two innings and the noose got a little tight. John Reel always seems to make the right moves, and he sent Darrell Duncan out to pitch the fifth, and the game was essentially over. Darrell didn't allow a runner past second base in his three innings of work and the Marlins scored four insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to provide the final margin. Ron Lochner led the offense with two doubles and a single. Now the Marlins get to watch as the rest of the league works to make-up rescheduled rainouts in the final week. Thanks, to a little luck with Mother Nature and John rescheduling our rainouts in a timely manner, we only have only our final regularly scheduled Friday night contest left next week while some teams have four or more games to play. It ought to be interesting as there are many tight races for key playoff positions. Good Luck to all.
