Pirates/Shaskys

The Shaskys Callahan pitched a nice game although the score didn't seem to reflect this. The Shaskys scored one in the 1st but the Pirates answered with 4 in the bottom of the inning. Only 2 however were earned. The 2nd inning yielded 4 more for the Pirates with 5 hits and only 1 throwing error. Callahan settled down to work in the 3rd and 4th retiring 6 Pirates in a row and yielding only 1 in the 5th. In the 6th, Callahan got 2 out of the first 3 Pirates, walking the 2nd batter, and with 2 outs the Pirates exploded with 7 hits and 7 runs. I believe 5 charged to Callahan and the final 2 to to a relief pitcher whose name I don't know. Five Pirates had 2 or more hits and 3 pitchers shared in the 1 run victory by Kane (9-3). We look foward to the best of 3 with the Humminbirds starting Monday.
