A very hot afternoon @ Icabod Crane yesterday and the Mets came from behind to beat the Cubs by the score of 3-2. Jonny Marton for the Cubs and Lex Herrlett for us both picthed exceptional games and both wre able to strand many runners at 3rd base. The Cubs jumped out 1-0, we tied , ent up 2-1, and we tied and finally in the bottom of the 7th we scored the wining run after both teams had threatened the ining before. Congrats to Dennis Maille as I very much enjoy the the whole Cubs team and he gets the most out of his guys. Now on to the Orioles on Monday @ New Scotland. Jim Bonparte Mets 12-9
What can I say, but hats off to Jim and the Mets. Good group of guys who have put together a nice winning season and it's not over for them yet. Great game played by two good teams on a really nice field with good umpiring from both Todd and TJ.
