Two great matchups highlight the 28 Semi-Final doubleheaders Sunday @ Central park.
On the A Diamond @ 10.00, the regular season Tigers square off against the red-hot A's, with game 2 to follow @ 12:30.
The Tigers, runners-up last year, have bolstered their pitching staff this year with hard-throwers Yeager from the right, and Sparks from the left. They already showcase a vaunted hitting attack. The A's, meanwhile, will rely on youth and speed, along with a potent offensive attack to matchup with the Tigers. The A's have numerous players hitting over .400. The question will be do the A's have the pitching depth to stay with the Tigers. Edge to the Tigers.
Over @ the B diamond, also @ 10:00 and 12:30, the defending champion Yankees take on the ageless wonders known as the Cubs. The Cubs captured their 10th division title in the past 11 years on their way to the 2 seed. The grizzled veterans, rumored to be playing their last season in the 28's, may be on a mission. Plenty of pitching depth, and firepower from the offense, gives them a shot. The Yankee will rely heavily on the arm of Shook, and also have exceptional speed on offense. It won't be easy to dethrone the champs, who got over the hump last year. Edge: Pick-um
The streets will flow with the blood of the non-believers! Congrats guys, I am proud to wear the uniform, and to be a member of the A's. Congrats to the Tigers on an amazing season. Peace..
