This is a short story:
Jim Shook pitched all 14 innings in the doubleheader on Sunday at the B-diamond.
He was his dominant self, as he threw just as hard in the 14th inning as he did in inning number one. Amazing stuff!!! Congrats to Jim in what was the best one-man performance I have witnessed in my 17 years in this league. It made the Cubs decision to make this our last year seem like a good one.

To my Cubs teammates, it has been my great pleasure to play alongside the classiest group of players that this league has ever assembled. I will miss playing with you as we are dispersed among the 38+ teams next year, but the memories will stay with me always. They now live on as cooler session stories! Thanks for everything!
