Bethlehem Field 5 WORK CREW NEEDED!

early SATURDAY morning (tomorrow)
We need your help!
the BETHLEHEM ELM AVE. PARK FIELD #5 has been re-built. (many should know this by now)
As baseball players who use this field, we all have the responsibility of helping to distribute the 550 bags of materials, put them in the correct position on the infield, open each bag up, empty the contents out on the infield, spread out the material, and throw away the empty bag in the dumpster.
The Town will do all the tractor work on Monday.

THIS IS A JOB!
We need everyone's help with this.

I will be there Saturday morning starting at 7am

Please CONFIRM back with me that you will be able to help us.

Remember - the Town of Bethlehem has done a wonderful thing here!
They have stepped forward to build us a New Baseball Field.
We need to respond and match this gesture with a show of Volunteers that will help do the work to assist the Town in completing this new baseball field that we will all use.

Please CONFIRM back your commitment via e-mail.
Thank you very much!

Wow! The JOB only took about 1-1/2 hrs.
Thank you to those who were able to attend this morning and help out. The Field # 5 Work Crew of about 20 got things done in speedy fashion. THANK YOU! There is still more to do as the Town Parks & Rec. Dept moves forward on the REVIVE Field # 5 Project. We will alert you to the next Work Crew event. FIRST PLAY DATE is shooting for Tuesday, May 20th. The Town will decide if this date remains the target. Stay tuned.
Thanks again.

I, too, was surprised, Steve, at what we accomplished - unload 550 bags, cut them open, pour them out and rake the piles throughout the infield, not to mention collect the empty bags for the trash bin, then finally comb the outfield for holes, ruts, etc.

It was actually fun, despite having to work with that Kane guy!!! lol, Mike.

I'm sure I can speak for our board and the entire CDMSBL in wishing Bethlehem Mickey Mantle a successful existence. You and all the volunteers should be commended for serving our youth and the game of baseball.

If there is anything I can do, please don't ever hesitate to ask.
