White Sox v A's

First things first.....It was definitely with mixed feelings seeing the one, the only, Kevin Michael Moon. We were definitely sad to see him in street clothes, but happy he wasn't horizontal in his best blue suit. God Bless, Mr. Moon.

The A's jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead after Sox SP Bob Gramuglia (sorry if I spelled it wrong) did his best Kate Moss impersonation in avoiding the plate. Sox were able to scratch one across then went to the pen for Mick Novak.

A's SP Ed Class, who had great movement and kept the Sox off balance, was relieved by A's pitcher #36 (name unknown). Six walks and a hit batsman lead to four Sox runs and a 6-5 ballgame.

The A's extended their lead to 7-5 in the top of the sixth when the ageless Ray Demers reached base and hustled his way around to third and was plated by Will Ferguson's single. The Sox answered when Bob Noto singled to start the sixth, followed by a single by Don McCann, a Joe Del Toro double, Novak reached on an error. After a WP, large and in charge Chris Foti was intentionally walked, followed by a two run single by Tommy Smith to complete the comeback at 8-7.

Leading the A's were the brothers Schillinger with 4 hits between them, and Ed Class with two hits as well. The Sox were led by Bob Noto (2-2, bb), and Mick Novak and Tommy Smith who were each 2-3 with a walk.

I appreciate the extra hit but I was 1-1 with two walks. Either way I am still batting 1.000 LOL. Bob Notobiggrin.gif
