The game was highlighted by very good good pitching performances from Art Gianakos and Chris Abrams (starters). Artie went 5 innings yielding only 1 run and Jerry Solomon closed it out for the final 2. Chris Abrams pitched an impressive game allowing 5 hits in going the distance for the Hornets
Steve Vangelder chipped in with two hits for the Yankees (2-0) in the 3-1 victory. Next up for the Yanks, the quite talented Marlins club.
