Sorry, I have to share this: I just learned that my new children's book, Six Innings (ages 9-up), will be reviewed in this Sunday's New York Times Book Review. It's a nice coup, since not many children's titles get that attention, and a first time for me. Hopefully the review will be positive! But, hey, it has to be, right?

Anyway, this book grew out of my love of the game since childhood, an affection that was rekindled and magnified through my eight years (and counting) in the CDMSBL.
Congrats, Jim. I'll look forward to reading it Sunday morn. Thanks to the brains of my family, my wife, we have a subscription to the Times. I'll even read it before I look at the sports section.
