When will the 37 schedule be posted on the website? We've heard bits and pieces about possible changes, since the original schedule had so many problems. For weeks we read that the revised schedule is "coming soon." But when?
In my eight years in the league it's never been this bad before. And I think it's unfair to the playing (and paying) members of this league who strive to rearrange various work and childcare schedules so we can play ball. Advance notice is so important. The 28s are organized. The 46s are organized. What is it about the 37s that's so different?
It's hard to read our commissioner castigating us for not traveling off to distant tournaments, while we don't even have the facts on hand to plan for games in our own backyard.
As a member of the Pirates, I honestly don't know when, where, or whom we're playing beyond tonight. When a team ponies up almost $3,000 to play in this league, a timely schedule is not too much to ask.
I've been in the league going on 15 years, and it isn't always perfect. It has never been from a lack of trying. Regardless of the issues, it is always fun to play baseball when the time comes. The 37-Division plays exclusively during the week, and as you know, fields are the biggest issue. With that said, it can't be easy to accomodate the largest division (14 teams), with the limited time elements (6pm to 8pm weekdays), and limited avaibility for fields. It might be a bit harsh to claim this as being the worst year yet, when there are more obsticles facing this division than any other. I thank those that have taken on the responsibilties every year to try and make things right. With help, I think the kinks can be worked out.
I'm sure that the 37-Div schedule will be on the website as soon as possible. With the website KegHead provided, and team manager access to TheArbitor, some of the scheduling anxieties might be taken care of. Lets make this season a good one, we still have 15+ games to play.
