Giants 9, Shaskys 3

Shaskys jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first at Bob Moore, only to have the Giants bunch 8 runs on 8 hits in the second inning and force the Shaskys to play catch-up the rest of the way.

Mike Hicks and Jim Keegan each had three hits, and Jerry Solomon, Mario Arduini, Dick Stark and Carlos Llera each had two as the Giants improved to 4-5.

JimK, Jerry Solomon, Jim Keegan and Mario Arduini split the pitching duties for the Giants, who also left 13 runners on base.

Don't know wo the Shaskys pitcher was, but outside the 2nd innng, he hung in there with a lot of grit and shut down the Giants the rest of the way till the 6th when Mike Hicks blasted his 2nd HR of the season.

For the Shaskys, Calahan and Morrufo each had two hits.

JimK
