As I've suggested in the past and offered to assist if needed, we should be looking to update our website. There are numerous pages that should be updated or eliminated. Our webpage is the most visible communication vechicle for our league and should be kept current. My first suggestion for an update to our home page would be as follows: Cubs Capture 28 Division Crown.....
Thanks for pointing this out. Nobody has reported the scores from the 2004 28+ championship series, which was played almost four months ago. Without this information, it is difficult to keep the website current. When we receive scores, we promptly update the website.
We will happily post the results of the 28 championship series, when/if we receive the game results.
Kevin, I was being somewhat facetious in my message concerning the 28 Championship update and did post the results on this bulletin board back in October. I actually think you do a great job in posting results and standings and certainly need input from managers to do so. What I was really talking about were pages such as the League Awards which hasn't been updated in 4 years, the League News page which is 2 yrs old, About Us page etc...Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
Jimmy McQuade: I completely agree with you. The Board has discussed this in detail and we're hoping to move forward in a number of ways to upgrade the overall league. Clearly, the Website is undermanned and unrealized. Everyone wants to see this happen. We have the vision, now it's a matter of making it happen.
We had a 3 1/2 hour board meeting last night -- we stopped only after reaching Dante's fifth ring of hell -- and it's a strong dedicated group. We're ready to implement a lot of improvements to the league, because I don't think we're nearly as good as we should be (and that includes our Website). I think you're about to see this league take several steps in the right direction.
Lastly, and I'm not just being a wiseguy here, thanks for your comments/criticisms. I wish more members would speak up with suggestions and complaints -- especially when they are accompanied with the offer to help do the work.
