White Sox v. Reds 7/16/08

In what could be best classified as an old-fashioned street fight, the Sox came out on top of the Reds 17-11. Sox had 20 hits, while the Reds made the most of their 9.

Sox plated one in the first only to be countered by 2 for the Reds. Each scored three in the third. Sox thought they were on cruise control after putting up a 7 in the top of the fourth, but the Reds came out swinging and plated four of their own. Four in the top of the fifth and two more in the top of the sixth proved the difference, as did Mick Novak who finally found the grip on a sweaty ball.
