The A's defeated the Marlins Friday night at New Scotland 10-2. Laddie Mawery paced a 15-hit attack with a single and a solo home run (the team's first of the season). Joining with 2 hits each were Jim Hicks, George Schillinger, Ed Class, and David Schillinger. Alex Marin, John Haff, Kevin Golden, Wayne Newcomb and Ray Demers joined the hit party. The Marlins are always a measuring stick for most teams and the A's now run their winning streak to 3 and their record to 9-6. Brian Kent pitched 6 strong innings for the win. Randy Kraft, Skip Treece and Dave Mitchell had 2 hits each for the Marlins. Good luck to them the rest of the way.
