The Highlanders edged the White Sox Monday night at Bob Moore. Roohan was the winning pitcher, pitching an inning in relief of Jackson. Novak was the losing pitcher, but there was uallyvirttruly no difference in effort or quality among any of the pitchers for either team. The winning run scored with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Also, I would like to thank the umpires for keeping an open mind and not calling the game after a rain delay and allowing both teams to get the field in shape.
