The Orioles and Reds played each other for the second time in less then 24 hours this time in Valatie. The Orioles came out on top 7-1 and got a complete game from Bob Bolt. The Reds Mike Lacouturi also pitched a complete game (I believe he also threw some innings against the Braves just prior to our game). The Orioles Scuteri, Nardacci and Rookie Brendan Hogan along with the Reds Joe Sarubbi each had 2 hits. The Orioles started the game with 9 players and in the fourth inning suffered yet another player getting injured and ended the game with 8.
The banged up Orioles start the best 2 out of 3 game series against the Cubs Monday Night at Clifton Commons. Game Time 6:30. Please correct me if I'm Wrong.
Congrats to the Orioles - Looking forward to Monday night. This will obviously be the toughest matchup of all the quarterfinalists. Many a 28 division title was fought over between the Cubs and Orioles, expecting no less next week.
