37+ Playoffs - A's 6 - Marlins 5 (9 Innings - Bob Moore Stadium)

I don't have the book and my mind is numb (more so than normal) from a wild, fantastic game between the A's and Marlins. So many opportunites. So many plays. So many clutch plays.

The A's (like the rain) threatened several times, but the Marlins continued to turn them away with nothing but a few drizzles here and there.

The A's finally won on Herb Cepeda's single to center with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth. Herb had scored the tying run in the bottom of the sixth with a long double, a tag up to third on a fly ball to right and then, with the throw off-line, using his speed to score at home.

Brian Kent went the distance in a very gutsy perfomance for the win. Chuck Soles and Randy Craft pitched great for the Marlins in the see-saw battle.

To get a win against a team as poised and smart as the Marlins is always tough. I know we will have to be at the top of our game again.

We have the finale on Friday at New Scotland!

guys, you might want to start this game at 5:30 if you can.
We started our game at 5:45 and I wouldn't have blamed the umps if they called it after 6 due to darkness.
It gets dark quick up there.
