Kevin Jackson, you have the Midas-touch (meteoralogically speaking)!!!

I just came from Bob Moore field in Scotia (2:30pm). The field is completely dry!!!
By the looks of the surrounding streets, this morning's rain completely missed Bob Moore and the field looks great. By the looks of the radar, New Scotland is under water and we would have been washed out!
The move of tonight's quarterfinal rubber game between the A's and Silver Marlins was a stroke of genius. Barring any "pop-up" storms, we will get this in on a dry playing surface. All we will need to do is chalk the field. Way to go!!!! I will stop all the Kevin Kovacheck jokes immediately!!!!

Also credit Joe Gatta as well. He's the one who maintains the field. And what he did for our first game against the Mets was remarkable. No way that game gets played unless it's a playoff game. We started 2 1/2 hours late, but Gatta worked diligently to turn a minor swamp into a playable field. No one thought it would get played.

That field is a gem, and with lights, it saves our butts again tonight.

Thanx Joe, and yes, thanx KJ.
