I'm exhausted, hungry and can't really remember what the hell happened, but the Giants advance to the finals with another heart-pounding, tension-packed win over the Marlins to win the best-of-3 semifinal round series 2 games to 1 Thursday night at Clifton Commons.

I am also drained from the last two series! Last night's 4-1/2 hour affair had everything. Giants take a 3-0 lead, the Marlins get it to 3-2, the Giants push it to 4-2, the Marlins go ahead 5-4 in the bottom of the 5th, the the Giants bats exploded!! Carlos Llera, Dick Stark, Mike Hicks, Steve Lounello, Danny Maguire, and Mario Arduini all connected off Marlins pitchers in the last two innings to blow the game open and advance to the finals. Congratulations guys! Whoever you face will have a tough time with that lineup. I was saying all year that this team was in no way playing up to potential. Well they did at the best possible time. Great job. Too bad that such an important game was played under suh poor lighting conditions, with a 30-minute wait for the lights in the third inning. Bob Moore for the finals was a good choice. Good luck to the three remaining teams.
