We want players to focus on playing and not get bogged down with duties. Hopefully, we can get enough guys from the league to help the board and me make this a success.

All-Star games: Saturday Oct. 4 at Town of New Scotland Park on Swift Road. Rain date: Sunday Oct. 5.
Game 1 Pre-game: - 28+ team is the visiting team. Take IF/OF warm-ups 9:20 9:40 a.m. - 37 team is home team. IF/OF warm-ups 9:45 - 10:05 a.m.
Town will then drag the infield and line the field.
Introduction of players: Subs first, then starting lineups 10:20 a.m. National Anthem to be sung by Dennis Scimeca at 10:35. First pitch by Town Supervisor Tom Dolan at 10:40.
Game 1: - 10:45 a.m. - 25 Division vs. 37 Division (wood bat only) If any player is selected for both squads, he will play with the older group. - 9 innings. - Pitchers can only pitch 3 innings. (Do NOT have to be consecutive).
HR DERBY 2 p.m. (KJ: Would like some new baseballs if that is an option). - Open format. Anyone can enter. - Metal bat HR = 1 point; Wood bat HR = 2 points. - 12 swings. - Bring your own pitcher. I will be available. - $10 per player entry fee. - Winner gets the pot. - Need MC/scorekeeper for this.

Game 2: - 3:45 p.m. - 37 Division vs. 46 Division (wood bat) If any player is selected for both squads, he will play with the older group. - 9 innings - Pitchers can pitch only three innings. (Do NOT have to be consecutive).
All-Star selections: Each manager MUST select a coach for first base and for third base who are NOT selected to the team to play. The coach's boxes must be occupied before the start of each inning. Minimum 14 player roster. No maximum.
25 ROSTER Quentin Jensen will be in charge of putting together the 25 roster. Quentin will also select the team's manager. Either Q or that team's manager will select the base coaches.
46 ROSTER Dick Stark will put together the 46 roster. John Reel will manage the team and select his base coaches.
37 ROSTERS This will be a bit tough. I need two rosters, though I don't object to some guys playing in both games. You are playing to win both games. While pitchers are limited to three innings, if a pitch wants to, he can pitch three innings against the 25 team and three more against the 46 team.
I will accept each 37 manager's nominations to compete in the All-Star Challenge. Next to each name you submit, put in your choice of whether he should compete in the 25 or 46 division game. I will do my best to honor that. Also let me know the primary position he plays.
Paul Scutieri and I will then dwindle down the teams to two squads since I'm sure to get a ton of names. This will be done on Friday evening Sept. 12. Will post on BB the 13th and email all managers/commissioners.
BASICS - The home team will be the older division in each game.
- Each division manager must submit their nominations for the respective teams to the All-Star manager by Tues. Sept. 2. Rosters must be in place by Friday Sept. 12. For the 37s, submit nominations to me.
- Each player is to wear his team's full uniform. Anyone who shows up with no socks or cutoff sleeves will not play.
- This isn't going to be popular, but all teams do NOT have to be represented. We will do our best to do so, but it's just not mandatory. We want to pit the best against the best.
- Game 1 MUST start on time.
- Umpires have been notified.
- We will need 10-15 minutes between HR Derby and Game 2 to line and drag the field.
John Reel is going to select a CDMSBL HOFer to throw out the first pitch for Game 2. New Scotland Town Supervisor Tom Dolan will throw out the first pitch for Game 1.
