with a couple of teams hurting for players, i am giving each of them authority to add one 46-year-old to its roster. One needs a catcher, the other needs anyone.

we have pushed back the start of the season to May 15 and will push it back further if we can't field teams.
there is a managers' meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. monday april 18 at sutters in albany. this is an open meeting, plus i need a rep from the Marlins since John Reel will still be in Texas at that time. Let me know who can make this.
