The WhizKids scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th to erase a 5-1 deficit and beat the Hawks for their 1st win of the year, and their 1st victory as a member of the 55+ division. Jesse Braverman and Mark McDonald led off the 5th with singles. Ed Draves lined out to 2nd, but walks to Don Dennis and Jeff Teats forced in a run. Anthony Torre then delivered the big blow, a 3-run double to tie the score. Ed Klopfer reached on an error, and both runners advanced on a fielder's choice. An error on a grounder off the bat of Dave Palmer plated Torre with the winning run. The game was called at that time due to the advancing twilight. Don Wixon had 2 hits to lead the Hawks attack.
