A friend of mine, a local trainer who owns Sweeney's Boxing in Delmar, is holding an amateur boxing show at Joe Bruno stadium this Saturday, June 13 (weather permitted). Doors open at 4, boxing starts at 5. Tickets are $15 for adults, and $10 for kids under 12. I work out at Sweeney's and he does a good job getting me in shape for the season. The least I can do is plug his shows. I love going, there are a lot of good young fighters. I think there will be about 15 bouts.
