Mets 7 Silver Marlins 0

Mets' new recruit: J.J. Pearsall was the star in this one.
J.J. mixed an 82-83 mph fastball with some quality off speed pitches to strike out 14 Marlins in 6 innings, while giving up just two hits and one walk. He also doubled twice, driving in three runs as the Met's four hitter.
Nice pick-up Bones!!!
For the Marlins, Curt Coons' double, Mike LaCoture's single, and Jim Ansel's walk were all that they could muster, until Migs relieved Pearsall in the 7th. Girard and Clary singled in that inning, but were still unable to push accross a run.
Watch out for this guy the rest of the way Boys!!!

As Mike said J.J. had a great night last night, but thanks to Mike for allowing Joe Careccia to play as we only had 8 with Joe to start until about 6:40 when our other 2 arrived. Ryan Johnson was on base a couple ofd times and scored on JJ'S doubles, Lex Herrlet 2 hits , Joe C 3 hits, Tony Parella 2hits and 2 rbi, Chri Dunn 2 hits , paced the attack. As usuall, a great game between the 2 teams , and I don't want to face them in the playoffs, as they are always tough.

Good Luck,
Jim Bonaparte Mets
9-6-1
