Jesse Braverman pitched a complete game and the whiz overcame a 5-0 1st inning deficit to beat the Americans. Braverman struck out 6, allowing only 1 earned run, and went 3-3 at the plate with 2 SB, 2 RBI, and 3 R. Joe Torre and Read Shepherd chipped in 2 hits each. For the Americans, Mike Hart went the distance with 7 K's. In the 1st innings, the Americans took advantage of 3 errors and had 5 of their 8 hits to jump to the early lead.
