O's take game one of the series by a score of 11-3. Earl Mitchell and Jimmy Becker were the starters, and what was expected to be a low scoring game had a bunch of defensive miscues and dinker hits, causing the score to get a bit out of hand. A couple of plays go different, and the score is much tighter. Tony Nardacci went 3-3 and John Paloga had a three run double to lead the Orioles. Game two takes place on Wednesday in Kingston at 7pm. Should be another battle. Oh, and it was tad bit hot out there. Bring your water (and other post game beverages) Pirates and Mets on Tuesday!
P.S. What was ever decided on the bamboo bat rule? We had someone use one tonight and nobody was sure what the rule was.
