all 4 games canceled today. Umpires have been notified. will talk to GM's later today or on Sunday to see about makeups. possibilities are evenings 8/31 thru 9/4. then Labor Day, then evenings 9/8 thru 9/11. I realize their will be daylight issues even for 5:30 evening games. hopefully we can get at least 5 innings in. we can play all day labor day of course. meanwhile tomorrow is still on till further notice. jreel 45 comm.
Just got back ( (5 pm/Sat) from taking a ride to see the 2 fields for Sunday games. Quite Muddy!!!! Without the sun drying them out, it's gonna be tough, but hopefully we can get in all Sunday's games. Do you have an idea when Jay makes a decision if it's a go or not? What a year!!!
watch this board for updates early tomorrow. the field will need work and Darrell and crew will be at that early and will know more as he gets into it and can predict drying time etc. he expects to work first on NS then Satellite , (which is worse and puddled from second to first) . both will take time to dry....which may mean games are delayed or possibly canceled. again we'll know more as we see the factors that will allow play at all....sun, wind , no more rain, Darrell's time , and the time to dry . stay tuned.
