I was on Todd's team in my rookie year and the guy taught me alot about playing baseball. Not only is he a one of the CDMSBL original players from 20 yrs ago but a cool guy for going out of his way to help me .Anyone that has ever played with or against him knows he is a TRUE HALL of FAMER.
Thanks TODD

Todd,
Want to congratulate you on this great accomplishment. I've played with you the last 5 years with the 45 Yankees, and I have always respected what you accomplished on the field, and playing the game correctly, as well as playing with Passion!!
Always consider one of my best teammates since I came to the league.

Great Job,
Mike Eplite
45/55 Yankees

Congrats Todd!!!
It was a easy choice for the committee.
You have accomplished alot on the field, and helped this league a ton with your off-the-field efforts.
When your name was brought up, there wasn't a single person that had a negative thing to say.
Congratulations on your well-deserved selection!
Your induction in March should be a very memorable night!!!

I played with Todd on the Highlanders a few seasons ago, and now I play against him when he is on the Yankees, and besides him being a great player and a nice guy, Todd carries one banner that all of us can look to him for:

Todd shows us that we can do this baseball thing and still look cool doing it!

Congrats Todd. Been a long strange trip starting with the Ray's Tavern team you organized in 1991 to your very good Indians team with the late and great Bill Jones, to the Spartans ...and even a short stint with the Marlins. many of the names escape me but Bill and Jack Coleman, Bill Harkins, Brian Musella, Charlie Oswald and tons more owe their introduction into the league to you.
Few may recall you were the one who organized the first travel teams...to Hartford, Maine , Syracuse and then you were the first to take a team to the Florida Fall Classic. You led boldly when this then young venture most needed it. Serving as VP, and in the first years of the 40+ division you were the commish that established order and got that division well on its mission. You pitched in and hosted players when the Dutch sent a semi pro team over for exhibitions games. Many work project were organized by you and I always knew that if you were in charge it simply got done and on time.
And when we dabbled with wood bats and went back and forth on the issue for a couple seasons you held a referendum and the next season we never looked back. we've been wood in the upper age divisions since.
You've organized teams, and ran them fairly. You played on teams that took it on the chin and ones that found the glory in winning but always just demanded two things from teammates and yourself. hustle and commitment to giving it your all.
Not one to whine or make excuses nor to brag or dwell on the past . there's lesson to be learned in how to play the game, how to be gracious in a loss and humble in victory .
Its been years since you caught but I know thats your best spot on the field working with pitchers and leading the defense. a veteran umpire in Florida once remarked that the Jones-Baldwin battery was the best he'd seen in some time. When injury led you to the outfield you took that balls to wall approach to the grass. no fly ball was to fall quietly in your midst. I recall you met a fence in Portland Maine and had a collar bone incident at New Scotland.
You will be inducted this coming spring as the lone 2010 honoree. I find it fitting as such. the combination of your talent, demeanor and dedication to this league are unmatched. Welcome to the Hall.
John Reel, fellow first year manager 1991.
