Gentlemen: I am happy to tell you that we have been given an official OK to put together a brand-new team in the 45+ division. Those of us behind this effort are former members of the Cougars who have said "we've had enough of losing." We have one goal---to field a competitive team next spring that will WIN ballgames. With that in mind, we would like to extend an invitation to those who are interested in what we hope will be the best of all worlds---a team that will offer plenty of playing time but will have an overriding commitment to putting the best team on the field that we can---EVERY SINGLE GAME, EVERY SINGLE INNING. We promise you we will work hard in assembling the best possible roster. We are veterans of this game and this league, and we know what it takes to succeed. What we want are people who understand that it takes a little extra work to win. And, I promise one other thing...that we who are behind this effort are NOT simply starting up a team so we ourselves can be in the starting lineup every game. We've been down that road, and we know where it leads.
With this posting, and others to follow, we are formally launching our all-out recruiting effort. If you're someone who wants more than just a little fresh air on Sundays at New Scotland or Voorheesville, contact us ASAP.

I applaud you guys for taking the reins and looking ahead,-good luck to you guys. I think though, that out of respect to your former teammates you should refrain from comments about how things were. Just move on, life's too short.
