Just wanted to give a plug to Nate Novak for winning is 1st MVP, in his very first year of playing in the 18 over division.
Back in Nov/2007, Nate was offered a Free Agent deal by one of the Boston Red Sox top scouts, Ray Fagnant. After much thought, Nate chose to decline the offer, and attend U Albany. ( Cannot discuss what transpired at U Albany).
Last month, he was invited to Port Chester, NY (Westchester County), and worked out for the Red Sox, Phillies,Yankees, Brewers, and a number of Independent squads. Should be hearing something from that work out soon.
January 23rd, Nate will be traveling to Buffalo, for a by inviation only, and working out for the Minnesota Twins at the Indoor New Era Facility, located in Blasdell,NY.
Let's all root for Nate, as he has been conditioning, non stop, for the past 5 months. Hopefully, he will get signed in the very near future, by one of the above mentioned clubs. Looking for that Spring Training invite!!
A Gifted talent, and Silent warrior!!! Nate Played his HS ball at Hudson HS. Also, an All American at Hudson Valley CC, where he set the lifetime win's record.
Nate' is the younger brother of Mickey Novak, class guy, and also a very talented player in the 35's/25's.
