Joe, want to congratulate you being voted the MVP of the 35's. You are a person/player that is a class act. I've always found that you played the game at 110% at all times in addition playing hurt at the end of last season's games with that horrible tailbone injury, when most wouldn't attempt to. In addition, Joe is one of the most likeable guys you would ever want to be around. Great Job!! Also, congrats to the two additional award winners in the 35's.
Joe is one of the few truly stat-ignorant players . Ask him how HE is playing and his response will be " WE'RE 6 and 2 " or something similar . A real team guy who you can't pull from a game with a Cat D6 dozer and tow strap . It's a pleasure to play with guys like that , not only for the competitive feel they bring each game , but they also motivate you to bring up your game . League officials were dead on in electing Joe , in that his ability to be a game-changer was obvious . We also had Mike Kane elected several years ago , a similarly intense selfless competitor , showing that good guys can be great players .
