Even though the temperature was soaring, the crowds still came to fill the front row of the stands to near capacity. We thought this game was going to end up to be another "survival of the fit-ess." The Vets received some good pitching from Joe Sarubbi, and Matt Leinung, allowing 3 hits oner 5 innings. Matt actually struck out 4 in one 1 inning. Good game under a very hot sun.-- On another note, after the game i ran into Jim Ansel who was with the Marlins to play the evening game. He looked great, and it was a pleasent surprise seeing him. welcome back Jim!
