Offering a marketing program for HS student athletes/ parents. Families need to realize, you cannot sit back, wait, and expect your child to be recruited by colleges. That is, unless, he or she is an ALL STATE talent. Yes, schools will pursue a student athlete that is an ALL Conference type ( considering the conference level)kid, and even the above average talent, but don't expect much, in as far as schoalarhip monies are concerned. Parents, you need to do more!!! I actually contact the college HC myself, and get a feel what kind player they are looking to recruit. Previous to the College coach contact, I evaluate every student athlete I represent, in a variety of ways. If I feel the athlete can play at the college level, as well have other attributes, I will then set up a meeting with the family, and speak about the recruiting process, and what to expect, and not expect. The EVALUATION process is CRITICAL. Athletic talent and Academics are a powerful combo in a student athlete, and will give your child a huge advantage in being pursued by college's across the US. Today, college's are cutting back budgets, and scholarships are being reduced , due financial restraints. Even HS sports are being cut, which is hindering the recruiting proceschild, so as you see, the process is becoming more complicated. Parents, you need to be aggressive, and you need OPTIONS!!! Marketing is even more essential than ever. My job is to find that school. I've seen families spend thousands, upon thousands of dollars in trying to market (video, profiles, etc.) their child, without success. College's will not even look at what you send them. It's basically, a waste of time!! If you would have any interst in speaking to me, pleace contact me @ 518 331-0186, or, you can e mail me at eppy5678@aol.com
I can vouch for Mike and how hard we works at this process. What it comes down to is that every college does not know about every student / athlete out there. Mike will evaluate the player (and be upfront and truthful about the prospects of getting any scholarship money). From the point it is decided to use his services, he is tireless and will keep you updated continually. He is an aggressive advocate for your child.
Mike has been working with a family I know and it is unbelievebale to see what he has come up with - from what the athlete needs to do both academically and physically - to making contact with the institutions to "sell" the athlete to them He takes a personal interest in the outcomes.
Just a quick recommendation - If you want someone on your side for this process, Mike is the guy to talk to.
