After a terrific baseball game which came down to a winning run by the Kidz in extra innings, Blue Thunder came "thundering" back the twilight game of the doubleheader to walk away with a 15-3 win and a split. Hats off to both teams for enduring the heat on the field for almost six hours. Kevin McDonald went the distance in the first game walking 2 and striking out 9. WOW. Jim Hayden picked up the win in the second game with Steve Witte getting the save. What a terrific season our division is having so far as we head into the "all-star" break - just a great bunch of guys playing a great sport and having fun at the same time. Blue Thunder is now 2-5 and the Kidz are 2-3. PS: Last year's division MVP Matt Kelly played for the first time this year with the Thunder - glad to have him back whenever he can.
