Giants 5, Blue Thunder 4

Giants lucked out to win Sunday at New Scotland.
The big play came in the 3rd inning. With the Thunder ahead 3-2 and runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out, Mke Kane, in relief for the Giants, picked off the runner at 3rd then got the last out on a bouncer back to the mound to limit the Thunder to just one run.

For the Giants, Bob Bolt had a hit, scored a run, drove in another and stole 2 bases; Steve Lounello walked three times, scored twice and stole 2 bases; Dick Stark drove in two runs with a big two-out double and a sac fly; Jack Riley drove in a run with a long double to right center in the 5th and he and Gary Sorvari had big 7th-inning hits to give the Giants a 5-3 lead and set up what proved to be the winning run.
