The Damn Yankees defeated the Americans 13-1 Friday, in the 55's. Yanks pounded out 18 hits, and the pitching staff of Bill Kervan/Pete Westhpal combined (3 innings each) to limit the Americans to 3 hit's, and John Reardon threw a scoreless 7th, The Yankees hit parade was led by Rich Garbinaro (double,3 singles,2 rbi's), with Steve Vangelder hitting a bomb, that easily cleared the left field wall, and also singled, with 2 rbi's. In addition Ray Demers added to the Yankees attack with 3 hit's (db, 2 singles), 2 rbi's. Leading the Americans was Kogelman with 2 singles. Next up for the Yankees, are the tough Whiz club, who have dominated in there first two games. Should be a great match up next Friday at New Scotland.
